Evangelization Council and Faith Formation Teams

The Saint James Evangelization Council seeks to bring our parishioners and their families closer to Jesus Christ and invites souls to know, love and serve God by entering into a personal relationship with Jesus.  Evangelization is a continuing two step process, which does not stop even after step one; that is, accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord, which is not an individual affair but a parish community-wide endeavor.  The second step is the quest of building the Kingdom of God, established by Christ’s death and resurrection.  To facilitate this process, the Evangelization Council leads those newly evangelized into a supportive environment or ministry, where they can discern their charisms, grow in holiness, and become apostles of Christ by word and service to others.  Faith Formation Teams of parishioners assist in implementing “The New Evangelization” spiritual and educational programs resulting in the strengthening of families and the building of community.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. — Acts 1:8
