Friendly Visitors/Shoppers

CONTACT: Susan Bryant ♦ (908) 647-9630 ♦ bryants47@optonline.net

No special training is required, just some time and an open heart for homebound parishioners who need good company and help to restock their pantries and refrigerators. Anyone with a driver’s license is encouraged to volunteer an hour or so, on a weekly or biweekly basis to perform corporal works of mercy and make some wonderful new friends in the process. Time spent volunteering as a Friendly Visitor or Shopper counts as service hours for young people.

People who like people and are looking for a way to make the end result of supermarket shopping as nourishing for the soul as it is for the body are urged to join.

Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. — Romans 12:13
