Recognizing the need for single adult parishioners to connect with others Father Glenn has blessed this new ministry.  Single Hopeful Hearts was introduced at the 2011 Stewardship Fair. The support and encouragement received from the parish and other ministries has been overwhelming.

Single Hopeful Hearts welcomes single adults to join fun-filled, faith-based, friendly gatherings.  The group offers a variety of spiritual, social and service-oriented activities in a positive, encouraging Catholic setting. Unmarried adults, including those who are divorced or widowed, are invited to participate.

Single Hopeful Hearts provides a great opportunity to make new friends while making a difference in the lives of others.  If you are looking for a way to share your friendship and faith with other singles in a relaxed, informal atmosphere, and enjoy engaging in group discussions and service projects in a setting which fosters both spiritual and social growth, this group is for you.

The first event had a great turnout for snacks and icebreakers. By the end of the night, laughter and conversation reigned supreme.  New friendships have already been formed with the hope of many more blossoming in the months to come. A sampling of activities, based on input from the group may include Game Night with take -out food, bowling, walks and hikes, brunch, Movie Night, plays, volunteering as a group at the Soup Kitchen.  Many activities will take place in the comfort of our own parish center, a perfect setting to meet and mingle.

There are no strangers here; only friends you haven’t yet met. –William Butler Yeats
